Full course description

Adult learners are vast and unique, bringing with them an incredible amount of experience personally, professionally, and academically. Given these variety of experiences along with other factors such as the broad age ranges of adult learners, disclosed and undisclosed disabilities, learning styles, and personal goals, it is more important than ever for Adult Education instructors to build into their repertoire a wide range of techniques to engage all learners and ensure participants within their programs can be successful.

By incorporating scaffolding and differentiation techniques into instruction, teachers can facilitate in a way that guides and supports learners as they attain new skill levels and knowledge as well as deliver instruction in a way that is flexible and adaptable in content, process, and product.

This course will empower educators by providing them with the information they need to understand and internalize these two key educational approaches - scaffolding and differentiation. Participants in this course will take this newfound knowledge one step further by applying scaffolding and differentiation strategies within instructional practices, strengthening their professional practice and helping them to guide their learners toward success and reaching their full potential.
